In the modern times Odisha is flourished with waterfalls, nature, sea beaches, rivers, temples, ancient architectures, mountains. Picking out places based on here say is easier task if you live in a metro ,by roaming around the computer and getting into digital stores through various PC peripherals.

Singapore:

It is the shopper’s paradise. Two major technological attractions in this city are Funan Digital Life Mall and Sim Lim Square.

Sim Lim Square:

Sim Lim Square is spread across an area of 390,000 square feet. In all these areas you have to walk a lot and you must be skilled with better bargaining quality. This place is vast and is prepared to spend al lot of days here as there is lot of tech shop here and it is sure you must have the time to attain to all the shops. Most shops stack products from different companies and making them a one stop destination for all yours gadget needs. Each shop is here like a show room, you can find twenty to thirty alternatives of a single device, and choice is yours.

Here you can find the Apple products cheaper and the Apple paraphernalia even cheaper. This place is accessible through local transit system of Singapore.

Funan Digital Life Mall:

Funan Digital Life Mall is a great destination to buy technological products in Singapore. It is the competitor of Sim Lim Square. The challenger Superstore is the biggest technology shop here at Funan Digital Life Mall. It is a twenty four hour shopping mall and is situated entire at the sixth floor of Funan Digital Life Mall. The second big store at Funan Digital Life Mall is Harvey Norman with lots of promotional offers and exhibitions of new product launching can be visualized here. Generally, Singapore is little cheaper in terms of MP3 players, so look out for these here.

Bangkok:

One of the most popular technology destinations of Asia is Bangkok because of tech crazy locals. The Pantip Plaza is dedicated to technology. Here huge shops from HP, Canon are filled with selling opportunities of high end consumers. Laptops, scanners, printers are plenty at Data IT mini computer store superstore on the second floor.

The third floor is basically meant for pirates junkies. Here you will find everything in terms of games and softwares. In the fifth floor, is the IT City, here entirely you can find the pre-built computers and plenty of exhibitions.

One mote IT hub of Singapore is Digital Gateway; it is a four storied IT hub. It is the hub of latest gadgets including that of Samsung, Sony.

At the Fortune Tower IT mall you will be more familiar with than that of Pantip Plaza, if you are with family then you can head over to MBK Centre.

Hong Kong:

This place has been synonymous with cheap electronic shopping. Here, you can find many street markets and lot of gadgets can be found by the road side. The preferable place to go for tech purchases here is Temple Street market. One more place is the Golden computer arcade, here independent shops selling hardware. I am not a die hard gamer, but if you are, then this place is just for you. One sad part is that bargaining techniques does not apply here and the price margins are very strict. Last but not he least, the Centralfield store but the pricing is not very suitable.

Conclusion:

Search for shops where Thai people are shopping and buying stuffs from, there you can get value for money and good bargain. Digital Gateway is the best place to buy the original gadgets, softwares and games. Look for international warrantee while making a purchase. Always carry a laptop with you to test phoney software and games before you purchase them. Remember, to claim your 7 percentage GST while you are at the air port by getting your bill receipt stamped by the customs department. If you are at Japan, then you can indulge yourself with some duty free shopping at one of the biggest electronics stores in Tokyo-LaOX. Make sure you do a through check of the packaging before payment.

A cold lager for hot tea

With each holiday’s time, my parents and young sibling tends to travel India and outside whenever we get the time and monetary resources. This has been ours experience of expedition of Kerala backwaters and some unforeseen raveling of truths and some facts which still to be digged in. When I was two to three years old and with my fading memory I recalled the fact of House boats of Kashmir and we stay in one house boat every time and with due course of time there builds a strong relationships as in my child hood we must go to Kashmir once in a year. Now the time changed and in the late nineties with the advent of terrorism, we ignore going to Kashmir and searched for similar locations and we found the place that the backwaters of Kerala. I am not an experienced travelogue writer but instead a good technology writer but due to the simple fact that From the very first year on this earth I tend to travel across all over India due to my daddy’s interest . Just like searching for words in the dictionary, my daddy always wants explore newer places, see the markets and the rates and also Hindu temples and lots of historical and mythological stuffs. As always, we will always search for the affordability factors before ours voyage starts and after we reach at Alleppey from my state of Odisha through flight and then through Mahindra XUV, we are maze dot see the cost of affordability and we took a taxi in the morning from Kochi and reach the hub of backwater tourism of Kerala. The houseboats can be hired for a day along with a cook for eight thousands rupees a day; it is a life time experience in the making. You can hire one local ferries and then you can go with it and reach at some local villages by the bank of back waters and there you can shop for foods and other sea related items and also some less costly foods which you can get with more than happy mindset.

You can hire a ferry, go to Kovalam, and return within one or two hours to Alleppey. After back water recedes and goes back to sea, these areas become more fertile and most of the rich foods of Kerala being cultivated here. Most of the rice and paddy crops are being developed here. In the vicinity we can sea a vast arena of half filled water and some where in between it is being divided through artificial lining of three to four straight-line coconut tress and that is making the entire scenery like deep sea blue syndrome. The ferry goes on and stopping at some stoppers and then the people goes in to it and out of it and somewhere near at some point we get tea and that is really fantastic as the taste of liquor is being fascinating though some more milk could have added to it. I t may be some personalized thoughts of how to take the taste of tea. The entire trip to Kovallam an back to Alleppe costs individuals twenty rupees and with the journey of utter significance and the beauties and vagaries of nature with a tea cup in my hand has been fascinating and enchanting. The local population on the ferry has been very friendly and they try to give suggestions to me through English mixed with Malayalam pronunciation. It is a good to listen to them and the way they try to make you understand has been fantastic. The ferry was non-motorized and could hear the sound of weather by the side and also some droplet of water drops on my palm and after some time it becomes salt an absorbing experience.

Back to ours hoe boat and ours designated cook served food with banana leaves. This remembers me some of the old marriage ceremony where we sued to get it at the ge together. The food cushion of the house boat has been fantastic with lot of green and leafy vegetables , sea foods though am not fan of it , steamed rice and other south Indian delicacies. The chutney consists of lots of coconut more than what I used to eat at Chennai during my post management days. Then we get back to go to the other side of back water views through some human handled boats. Here the back water is very narrow , even on the bank of it we can see the homes and people doing there daily works in between them. I dipped my hands in the water, daddy said to me not to do that, as he had observed that all the dirty things of these house holds also coming out and joining into this water so I stopped from doing this. This was ours third Kerala visit as prior visits are mostly concentrated with reaching at capital of Kerala and joining at various sea locations and enjoying the Kerala urban life. This time we scheduled ours journey such that we will experience this realm of back waters and how it is being through ours closest eyes. As we moved on inside the boat to advance areas we experience the coconut trees , small groovy islands, lots of birds and flowers blossoming inside the back water, with sun shine reflecting from the water and making the entire arena more whitish to see , it seems like we have been at paradise (swarga) with lots of dreams and void reality. Now we enter into an arena where no house holds are visible and the water is so clean and clear so that we can see through it and watch small fishes being swimming across and some collides with ours boat and making the direction reverse to swim across along with water.

A cold lager for hot tea

The backwaters of northern side of Kerala has been fascinating, the more you go the more surprise is stored for you. After some time we saw one enchanting lake with clear water and palm tress with sun shine reflecting through it , to the true to my heart it felt me like the Manasorabar, the feeling is deep within cannot be written it can be seen and felt at heart and mind. You can start yours journey from Alleppey and to the further north to explore more destinations , as far as yours finance goes it is strictly in the mode of yours own establishment, try this out , am sure you will have more stories to write and hear than to me.

The crest of a wave on a surf board

The train is running, it is a long distance train and pretty popular and one of the oldest in India. The Coromondel train, it is from Howrah to Chennai, I boarded at Chennai to Bhubaneswar as this is one train I always use while I am on the tour. Reservation one AC and so I am deeply satisfied that I will not be bothered by any strangers during my journey. Me and my wife’s birth are at the side upper and side lower and I had the experience of
good journey with this train and while seating on this train I am pretty proud of this. I and my wife’s seats am one compartment before the gates side so it is very convenient to use the toilet. The AC is the compartment is of very high order and am thinking about good things fro my return journey, having achieved a lot and seeing and meeting the doctor feeling extensively satisfied and gratified and we are talking about all these occurrences and what to prevent and how to prevent and how to manage the health in the future.  I was managing my luggage so that no other persons should occupy that privileges as we are both at the side upper and lower seats so , it is one privilege and the sense of privacy can be attained into. The train starts and after few moments I have seen my good old friends straight from my service days and from my College days.

He also came with his better half, we talked some time for few moments at least then I came back to my berth which is almost 12 seats far from my child hood friend‘s berth. In the friend’s berth out of four seats two are with the friends and his better half and in the other two four personas are seating out of it three ladies are seating and they are saying they are in the RAC. After some time friend realized that one lady who is almost 50 years old, is with the waiting list and that lady is saying that she is from a public sector company and she is emergency to attain the meeting that is why she came there rapidly. The ticket collector came and checked all the tickets but not the lady’s ticket, this surprise the friend as he was telling me this true happening inside the great coromondel express after the incident was over so am elaborating what he had told ne earlier.

My friend is always of a sheepish nature and he feels the ticket collector will tell that lady to get out of this AC cabin but instead that ticket collector bring that lady to another compartment and it feels something going on between them like some transactions which is known to many an that lady came back with a winning smile but without a valid ticket. How the coromondel ticket collector of AC allowed that lady inside the AC compartment without a ticket, that lady says she is wait listed and in rules she is not allowed inside the compartment but she is making the mockery of law and also with her the ticket collector bending all the rules of the railways and also it is not a good practice to allow strangers inside the compartment.  That lady has five luggage and imagine she is a wait listed ticket holder and she is illegally entering into ac compartments and invading the privacy of the fellow travelers and she is been helped amicable by the ticket collector of coromondel train and for what reason? Why she is been allowed to enter and the conductor also not been taking the strict action this is very sad and especially of coromondel a vintage train in its class and it is coming from the Chennai where I have seen everywhere from the railway reservation counter to the Apollo lift , people automatically in queue to wait for others preferences and that has been liked by me so much so that I have deep respect for the Tamil persons and their way of life and upbringing but so sad to feel the behavior of The ticket collector as it seems he is engaging in some sort of fraudulent activities,

At far this is not expected at the AC compartments at the cormondel express and it seems no security in place near the AC compartments and during the Vijwada and then Rajmehndry and then Vizag some persons standing nearer to the latrines of the AC compartments and this can be a really harassed situations for the ladies as well as the sober people. This has not been seen at coromondel from the experience of my old friend and to the no guard experience and then the unwanted persons standing nearer to the latrines at the AC compartments, and the most of it the behavior of the ticket collector and his greedy attitude in allowing the stranger inside the ac compartment reiterates the same thing that once Aristotle said Power corrupts and the absolute power corrupts. Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men. I can only hope at best to post a honest ticket collector inside the AC compartments of coromondel especially the train which starts from Chennai to Howrah and also adequate security must be provided . Then the question arises. If absolute power corrupts absolutely, does absolute powerlessness make you pure?

This is what Puri is known for

Puri is the religious capital of Odisha and a renowned place of Bharat. There are times when a healthy category of population knows Odisha only through Puri. The population of Puri town is not big but the floating population Puri is always high. There are lots of tourist’s flows, here from every nuke and corner of Bharat and the world.

One American couple in the mid thirties, few days back boarded at Puri. They were walking by the side of road nearer to the sea at the northern side of Puri. Suddenly, there appeared two to three visitors from the background; they rode with a bike, and try to snatch away the American lady from her husband who was walking nearer to the footpath. They successfully kidnapped the American lady from her husband and try to go speedily with their bike. One riter (constable of Police) was standing by the side of road with his duty, jumped upon the moving bike and tried his best to rescue the lady. The bikers kicked the lonely riter and ran from that place with speedy moving vehicle. The honest and duty bound constable called his officer immediately and the officer rushed to that spot within two minutes and send signed messages to locals who are standing at the other side of the square, through hand signs, while the biker of three persons and the kidnapped lady were approaching at the other end of the square, then the locals who were ready, then jumped on the bike without any care of their life stopped the bike and the officer reached and with the help of the locals managed to diffuse the bikers and compelled them to surrender . The ugly bikers were caught hold up, arrested and taken to custody and to be produced to the honorable court of justice. The America lady rescued within five minutes of kidnapping from bikers safe and then her American husband reached their with the help of some other locals and both are relieved.

How this ugly incident could have been aborted on the first hand. Puri’s local population is very meager , they are very understandable, congenial and friendly to tourists. But with the regular flow of floating population due to high density of tourists purring into Puri from different region of Bharat and world as well as from all the thirty districts of Odisha, they are behaving badly. As the bikers are not belonging to Puri they are outsiders but at Puri they try to do this bad incident and with the help of vigil locals they are now behind the bars.

What safeguard a tourist should observe while at Puri:

1. Stay nearer to temple; do not stay nearer to sea beach.

2. The most crimes occurred at Puri nearer to the far side of beach, try to avoid going to the lonely places nearer to the far side of the sea especially the Balliapanda, diga pahandhi and the Netaji Subhasha Bose road area most dangerous.

3. Do not talk much with the shop keepers, they came from various places and districts of Odisha and they are always indulging in cheating to the visitors.

4. Do not go to sea beach during 12 noon to 3 P.M. and return from the sea beach at 7 P.M.

5. Do not board at a lowly rented Hotel; the most crime took place there so it is better to avoid these.

6. Try to get advice from the police on duty about yours queries not to any persons reside there as at Puri as it is very difficult to identify locals there, they will be all and nearer to temple.

The new year at Puri

The fantastic new year in the prospect with beautiful climate ushering with coolness decreasing slightly and slow drizzle in between. The people all around India flocking into Puri to see the glimpse of ours Lord of the Universe. The Jagannath and his elder brother and little sister. The number of people seems unbelievable high. There is no inch of land left where the people have not occupied. The flooding of population can be a challenge for the administrator and the administrator has done their duty fully accomplished with flying colors. The entire Puri town is lighted and the streets lights switched on entire night making it a visible and well cleaned. The visitors can take some precautions like go to sea in the front side of Puri Hotel, do not go to the far and wide of sea as they are lonely places and there crime happens. Puri Sea has the tendency of becoming dangerous; just touch the water of sea to get purified as there is popular belief. Going to the vegetable market just experienced on the new years day even at four P.M. the number of people reach at Puri, it is unbelievable but it is true to the sense. It takes about twenty minutes tom cross the grand Bajaj square. The queue to see the Lord Jagannath and the Lord’s popularity brings a huge number of devotees to Puri town. For the visitors watch out for the auto rickshaws. The most of the crime take place in the auto rickshaws, this is not o malign them but few auto rickshaw drivers have been committing the crime so always stay alert while sitting in any auto rickshaws. As visitors always be careful while to talking any shop keeper as most of them are very argumentative and you might fall in their trap suddenly. When shopping try not to give five hundred rupees to shop keepers as they will take the money from you acting as if they are talking in mobile and after few moments they will say they have received one hundred instead of five hundred rupees. So, it is better to avoid them and fall in their trap. Do not argument with the shop keepers as they are mostly criminals and back by some criminal head as you argument them they will unite and they can hit you so it is better to avoid them. So, it is better not to argument with them. This is not to terrify any visitors but it is always a great idea is to go with a caution so that you will not face any danger or disturbances.

A visitor’s delight:2

We hired a pre-paid taxi to Manali from the Kullu Airport and reached Manali at about 02.00PM and went straight to our officers` association guest house arranged in a star hotel at a nominal cost of Rs100/- per day, though the actual cost would have been Rs3000/- per day during off-season. So, comfort at less cost guaranteed us a longer stay at negligible cost. Also, that being an off-season, we could extend our stay for fourteen days at a stretch, though we had to change to three rooms in the process. Off-season, also, gave us discount of 25% in our boarding bill.

A visitor’s delight:1

If you have not visited Manali, visit it; if you have gone in the past, go again and, if you have gone a few times in the past, visit again and again. This is my feeling culled out of my intensive experience at Manali. The place is a visitor’s paradise: a place where nature has descended to spread its fragrance and to give its feel to each and every man everywhere.
From the tourism point of view, Manali may not be the substitute of Srinagar, but, certainly, an alternative. It has to offer so many breath-taking places to the tourists and
visitors that you have to stay a minimum of fifteen to twenty days, if not more, to enjoy your outing to the brim.

Manali is mountainous valley in the right lap of the Himalayan ranges. Himachal Pradesh is known as “Apple-land of India” and Manali has a great share of apple production of the state.
I, with my family, left for New Delhi Airport from Bhubaneswar Airport by Indian for a two-hour journey during Mid-August, generally considered as an off-season chosen by me as ideal because I got all my reservations for journey and lodging at a big discount. The next morning, an eighteen-seator single-engined aircraft was ready to start at 06.30AM, but took off at 09.30AM as the climate in the Himalayan ranges was cloudy. Ultimately at about 10.30AM, we reached Kullu Airport.
The experience inside the aircraft was very exciting because co-passengers were only four, not to speak of the pilot who could be considered as a co-passenger in the sense that his driving seat was at our front like the seat in a luxury bus and he was a nice fellow who talked to us all through our journey. He, also, had tea, coffee and snacks for us and a packet full of chocolates besides fruit juice. There was no air-hostess or attendant and self-service was the provision. But what was irritating was the sound of the aircraft; but to get something you have to give up something and at the end of the journey, we were disappointed that such an exhilarating experience had come to an end.
Kullu area is a valley and very nice in every way. The Dussera Festival here is observed with much pomp and ceremony and the Kullu King leads a huge procession which is almost the best in the country and must be seen to be believed.
